“Arturo” Vonn
Hartung studied art at the University
Puerto Rico and also in Mexico. He holds a
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University
of Harford Connecticut. His work are exhibited
In churches, public buildings and private collections;
in Puerto Rico, United States, Europe & Australia.
This workshop will be carving
a relief…carving
into a flat surface making the image appear to be
raised.
The class project will be designed by the artist. Students will be taught the
proper use of
carving tools, the precise way to begin the carving,
and the progression of steps toward the work’s
completion. Demonstrations, and instructions
will be given to all beginners & intermediate
students. Advanced carvers who wish to bring
their favorite wood or designs to work with
are encouraged to do so and will have individual
assistance as needed.
