Instructor:
Jennifer Anna Perkins
The
instructor, Jennifer Anna Perkins, was born in
1947 in Hawaii and received her B.A. in Philosophy
of
Religion from Smith College in 1970. She completed
a Master of Fine Arts at the New York Academy of
Art in 1987. She has been studying with the eminent
Russian iconographer Vadislav Andrejev, founder
of the Prosopon School, since 1989. She has completed
icons for individuals, churches, and monastic communities
and has recently assisted in the church decoration
project at the Hogar Rafael Ayan near Guatemala
City,
she has donated icons to Christ the Savior Russian
Church in New York City where she is a parishioner.
Under the auspices of the Prosopon School and the
Cathedral of the Holy Virgin Protection, she also
teaches weekly iconography classes in NYC.
