Art Workshops ... Spiritual Expressions Spirituality is "body" being present, acting as a participant in prayer and rituals, a physical living expression of a process. Creativity & Spirituality combined is an expression of one's own creativity and a way to participate more fully in the continuous, unfolding, plan of creation. Participating in a sacred art workshop is recognizing God as the ultimate artist and you who have been called, as a vehicle, to reveal His truth and beauty through the arts. It has been said: "On some level each one of us is an artist. That is, we have some medium to express ourselves. Some are able to use material such as wood, stone, clay, natural pigments to paint. Some use film, while others use words and language to spin a story, write a poem, or act out a drama. And there is of course the greatness and the beauty of architecture that in combination of all the mediums aesthetically amazes our visual senses. On some level we all are capable of becoming co-creators. The workshops incorporate all of what we are capable of doing ..it brings expression to a belief, a mystery, a contradiction." It is my hope that as we use the arts as a medium or vehicle of spiritual expressions and prayer, we bring honor to ourselves and to others and most of all, as we begin to create, we begin to participate in God's on-going divine plan. It is also, in some way, the opportunity to "make a difference." not only in your life but in others and ultimately out in to the Universe. Please note: Artistic experience is not required. You need only to commit to learning a process. It is this creative process, which has been used by the old masters, and has been carry-down through the ages and is the process used in these workshops that will allow you to produce a fine masterpiece.
